Seniors Writing Workshop Series: Bookmaking at Brightview Senior Living--

Saturday, February 15th, 1:30 to 3:30 PM--sponsored by Wakefield Rotary Club

The Room to Write is so excited to announce the first of a series of Seniors Writing workshops that we will be bringing to communities in the north of Boston region.
Join us for a FREE Bookmaking Workshop facilitated by singer/songwriter/artist Lisa Bastoni.

Reserve a seat at the workshop by email: colleen@theroomtowrite.org or call Brightview: (781) 667-0064.

In this 2-hour workshop, we will be writing, illustrating, and assembling a complete hand-made book. Seniors are encouraged, but not required, to invite a young person (grandchild, mentee or family friend aged 10 years & older) to join them. We will follow a series of guided writing and drawing exercises to find meaningful, vivid stories. Our focus will be on fun and creative connection, process over product. Everyone will leave with a beautiful handmade book as a memento of the day. No art or writing experience is required, and all materials will be provided.

Lisa Bastoni is an award-winning singer-songwriter, known for her thoughtful story songs and natural way with words and melody. With a Masters in Art Education, Lisa is also an experienced visual artist and arts educator who encourages students of all ages to connect with the joy of creative expression. www.lisabastoni.com

Special thanks to Wakefield Rotary Club for sponsoring this workshop and for Brightview Senior Living for providing a great space for the workshop to take place!
